About Us
I am a double board-certified Functional Medicine Doctor (DHSc, CFMP) and allopathic medicine Physician Assistant (PA-C) dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through a personalized, root-cause approach. My focus is on integrating the latest advances in functional medicine, clinical nutrition, and lifestyle medicine to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care.
I earned my Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc) centered in Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Bridgeport, where I gained advanced clinical and biochemical training to understand how nutrition and molecular pathways directly influence health and disease. My doctoral coursework was intensely focused on biochemistry, nutritional genomics, and metabolic function, providing a scientific framework to identify and address root causes of chronic conditions.
I also hold a Master of Science in clinical Nutrition Science from the University of Bridgeport, which further deepened my expertise in clinical biochemistry, nutritional interventions, and the metabolic underpinnings of disease. This dual academic foundation allows me to translate complex biochemical processes into personalized nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle strategies for my patients.
In addition, I’m a board-certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) through Functional Medicine University, trained to use systems biology to assess the complex interactions between nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, genetics, and environment.
As a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, I’m also fully trained in conventional medical diagnostics and treatment. This dual perspective enables me to offer comprehensive care that blends the best of modern medicine with the science of nutritional and lifestyle therapies.
To further support my patients, I earned a Certificate in Exercise, Wellness, and Complementary Treatments for Anxiety, ADHD, and Eating Disorders from Harvard Medical School, and I hold a Certificate in Nutrition & Autism from the University of Bridgeport. These specialized trainings allow me to better support patients dealing with complex neurobehavioral and metabolic conditions.
I have contributed to the fields of functional medicine and clinical nutrition through research and published work, including Vascular Dementia Lifestyle and Nutrition Prevention Strategies (Doctoral dissertation, 2021).
My mission is to provide personalized, whole-person care that empowers patients to take control of their health. Whether addressing chronic conditions, gut health, metabolic disorders, or mental well-being, I utilize a whole-person, science-backed approach that prioritizes root-cause resolution, lifestyle optimization, and evidence-based nutritional strategies.
