Epigenetics: Beyond the BluePrint

About Us
I am a double board-certified Functional Medicine Doctor (DHSc, CFMP) and conventional medicine Physician Assistant (PA-C) dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through a personalized, root-cause approach. I integrate the latest advances in functional medicine, clinical nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle medicine to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition Science from the University of Bridgeport, which deepened my expertise in clinical biochemistry, nutritional interventions, and the metabolic underpinnings of disease. This dual academic foundation allows me to translate complex biochemical processes into personalized nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle strategies tailored to each patient’s unique physiology.
I earned my Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc) centered in Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Bridgeport, where I gained advanced clinical and biochemical training in how nutrition and molecular pathways influence health and disease. My doctoral coursework focused intensively on biochemistry, nutritional genomics, and metabolic function, providing a strong scientific framework to identify and address root causes of chronic illness.
My research and publications include Vascular Dementia Lifestyle and Nutrition Prevention Strategies (Doctoral Dissertation, ProQuest), contributing to the growing evidence base in clinical nutrition and functional medicine.
As a board-certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) through Functional Medicine University, I’m trained to use systems biology to understand and assess the complex interactions between nutrition, genetics, exercise, lifestyle, and environment.
Alongside my doctoral and nutrition training, I’m a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. This allopathic medical background allows me to integrate modern diagnostics and treatment with the science of nutritional and lifestyle therapy, bridging conventional and functional medicine for truly comprehensive care.
To further support my patients, I earned certificates from Harvard Medical School in "Exercise, Wellness, and Complementary Treatments for Anxiety, ADHD, and Eating Disorders" and "Lifestyle Medicine: Tools for Promoting Healthy Change." I also hold a Certificate in "Nutrition & Autism" from the University of Bridgeport, enhancing my ability to support patients with complex metabolic and neurobehavioral conditions.
My mission is to provide personalized, whole-person care that empowers patients to take control of their health. Whether addressing chronic conditions, gut health, metabolic disorders, or mental well-being, I utilize a science-backed, root-cause approach that promotes optimal health for lasting vitality and wellness.
